Makena Mugambi tells the story of The Humanity Share—both online and in person—while also supporting sponsored students through mentorship and program administration. With years of experience working with young adults and teenagers, she brings a creative and relational approach to her work. What energizes Makena most is seeing the confidence and ambition grow in the girls THS supports. From mentorship conferences to education programs, she loves watching students chase their dreams without financial barriers holding them back. A former ballet dancer of 12 years, Makena thrives in organized, dynamic spaces. When she’s not working, you’ll find her outdoors, hosting game nights, or spending time with friends and family. She describes THS as a committed and supportive environment where passionate people come together to create real impact.

Michael Ndambuki Mulwa oversees and manages THS’s community-driven projects, focusing on water access, financial sustainability, and agricultural development. His leadership, problem-solving skills, and hands-on approach ensure that every initiative is both impactful and sustainable. For Michael, the most rewarding part of his work is seeing the joy in a community when they receive access to clean water—knowing that it’s not just a short-term fix, but a lasting solution. By improving essential resources and creating economic opportunities, he helps build a more resilient future for the communities THS serves. When he’s not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and checking in on THS water projects to ensure they continue running smoothly. He describes THS as a place where passion meets purpose—a culture driven by collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to improving lives. One of his most memorable moments was overcoming the challenges of drilling a well that initially came up dry, only to finally strike water and transform an entire community’s future.
